Synopsis:
Evy has dreamed for years that her estranged, abusive aunt Jane tries to stab her. Evy believes she was adopted, but her mother Silvia won't confess. Evy's frustration is manifested
in her obsessive paintings of Jane, created with ashes from fireplace coals she nurtures in the Gothic ballroom of the crumbling house she and Silvia share. Suddenly, Jane appears
on the doorstep and makes a stunning announcement, forcing Silvia to take her in. The electricity fails, plunging the house into darkness as conflict boils. Evy's struggle finally
uncovers not the evidence she suspected, but a terrible, long-hidden family secret.
